UP Cabinet Decision: Relief to 2.40 lakh flat buyers of NCR, cyber police stations-excise policy approved in 57 districts

UP Cabinet Decision: Many important proposals were given green signal in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The state government has taken an important decision to provide relief to about 2.40 lakh allottees of stuck housing projects in the National Capital Region (NCR). The completion of these houses will provide great relief to the buyers. For this, in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, it has been decided to implement the recommendations of the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Amitabh Kant, former CEO of NITI Aayog of the Central Government. The committee had recommended if the allottee has deposited the entire amount. Despite this, if he has not got the possession, then he should be given possession of the house and its registration should be done. Whereas if the buyer is residing in the house and it has not been registered, then it should be registered. With this, stalled projects will be completed and buyers will be able to get flats. Considering the period affected by Corona from April 1, 2020 to March 2022 as zero period, the committee had also recommended giving rebate in interest to builders during this period. State Government Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that the state government has accepted both these recommendations. This will provide great relief to a large number of allottees in the NCR region.
