UP Cabinet Decision: Approval of recognition of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang University as Government University

UP Cabinet Decision: A total of 33 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. June 29, the birth anniversary of Bhamashah, will be celebrated as Traders’ Welfare Day in the state. Its proposal was approved in the cabinet.

Along with this, many important proposals including granting of state university status to Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang University in Chitrakoot were approved in the cabinet meeting.

Jagadguru Rambhadracharya’s Divyang University in Chitrakoot will now be run by the Uttar Pradesh government as a state university. In fact, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya had requested the state government to run this private disabled university in view of his old age and health problems. In this regard, a proposal was made in the cabinet on Wednesday, which was approved.

Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar said that after passing the resolution, now the UP government will operate this university by establishing it as a state university. Now it will be known as Uttar Pradesh Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang Government University.

Jagadguru Rambhadracharya will be the chancellor of this university for life. After him, the governor of the state will be its chancellor. Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar told that along with this, the employees working in the university who meet the standards of UGC, will continue to work as before.

Till now only Divyangjans used to come for teaching in this university. But, now 50 percent disabled will be able to study here, while 50 percent normal students will also get a chance to study here. He told that in this way, now there are two government disabled universities in UP. Dr. Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University is already operational in capital Lucknow.

Important proposal passed in the cabinet

  • Approval has been given to establish Indo Israel Center of Excellence for Food at Sirathu in Kaushambi. Here research work will be done on Guava Amla Banana.

  • Approval was given to establish Mahatma Buddha Agricultural Technology University in Kushinagar. This university of 390.54 acres will be constructed at a cost of 750 crores. Its foundation stone is likely to be laid in July.

  • Tree plantation drive will be started in July. There is a target of planting 35 crore trees in this. Of these, 12.6 crore plantations will be done by the Forest Department and the remaining government departments and municipal corporations etc. together.

  • Approval of the proposal of Medical College on PPP mode in Mahoba, Mainpuri, Baghpat, Kasganj, Hamirpur, Hathras.

  • Uttar Pradesh township plan approved, will be formed on the basis of population less than two lakhs.

  • Approval to change the name of Prayagraj National Law University to Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University.

  • State Sports University in Meerut has been approved to be named after Major Dhyanchand Sports University.

  • Approval of amendment for renovation, revival and establishment of Sanskrit schools. A total of 357 Sanskrit schools are running in the state.

  • Micro entrepreneurs accident insurance proposal approved. Under the Chief Minister’s Accidental Insurance Scheme, the benefit of five lakh insurance benefits to small entrepreneurs.

  • Approval of proposal to start helicopter service for tourism development in Agra Mathura

  • Approval to start the closed umbrella sugar mill of Mathura. The mill is closed since 2009. Now after the decision of the cabinet, it will be able to operate again.
