UP Budget 2024: Yogi government gave Rs 1750 crore for the construction of religious corridor, Ayodhya airport will be expanded

UP Budget 2024: Yogi government has given special focus on the roads of the state in its financial year 2024-25 budget. A provision of Rs 1750 crore has been made for the development of charitable roads. A provision of Rs 3000 crore has been made for the maintenance of state roads and Rs 800 crore for four-laning the roads leading to industrial areas. Also, in this budget, a provision of Rs 1350 crore has been made for railway overbridges and Rs 1500 crore for bridges in rural areas. Flyovers will be built to provide relief from traffic jams in cities and towns. For this, a provision of Rs 1,000 crore has been made in the budget. While presenting the budget in the Assembly, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that the construction of the grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya has given a lot of encouragement to our social and cultural sector. Ayodhya has become a big tourist center of the world. There has been a huge increase in the number of tourists coming here from India and all over the world, which has significantly improved our economic condition. While reading the budget, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna announced that continuous efforts are being made by the state government to increase air connectivity in the state. This objective is being fulfilled through the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS-‘UDAN’) of the Government of India and the “Uttar Pradesh Civil Aviation Promotion Policy” of the State Government. In comparison to the last financial year, there has been an increase of 19.2 percent in the number of passengers traveling by air in the current financial year.

Airport in Ayodhya will be expanded at a cost of Rs 150 crore.

He said that the airports selected for air connectivity, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Moradabad, Shravasti and Chitrakoot have been developed and the development work of Mayorpur (Sonbhadra) and Sarsawa (Saharanpur) airports is in progress. ‘Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham’ has been developed in Ayodhya. A provision of Rs 150 crore is proposed for the establishment and expansion of the airport in Ayodhya. A provision of Rs 1100 crore is proposed for land purchase for construction, expansion and strengthening of airstrips and land acquisition. A provision of Rs 1150 crore is proposed for the establishment of international airport and purchase of land in Jewar of Gautam Budh Nagar district. The Finance Minister said that Uttar Pradesh has made significant progress in developing world class infrastructure. The connectivity of air, water, road and rail network developing in the state will provide facilities to the manufacturing units in the industries of the state in transportation of their goods, which will increase the exports from the state. With the inauguration of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, four international airports are operational in the state. South Asia’s largest international airport is going to open soon in Jewar, Noida. With this, Uttar Pradesh will become the only state in India with five international airports. Uttar Pradesh has received the category of ‘Achievers’ in the Ease of Doing Business Ranking and Accessibility of Logistics in Various States (LEADS-2023) ranking.
