SIT investigation has found evidence of foreign funding in madrassas on a large scale. Madrassas are being said to get huge funding from Gulf countries. Last October, the Uttar Pradesh government had constituted a three-member SIT comprising ADG ATS and officers of the Minority Welfare Department and ordered an investigation into the foreign funding of madrassas.

Police-administration alert on the anniversary of Babri demolition in Aligarh
Special vigilance is being taken on 6th December, the day of demolition of the disputed structure in Ayodhya. Sector scheme has been implemented by making strict security arrangements in the city.
