Disabled people will get 4 percent reservation in jobs of UP civic bodies, government order issued
Now four percent seats will be reserved for disabled people in the jobs of municipal bodies of UP. This reservation will be given horizontally in the posts of Group A, B, C and D of Central Services in the bodies. The Urban Development Department has issued a government order related to this. Let us tell you that the Disabled Welfare Department had prepared a policy in the year 2021 itself regarding giving four percent horizontal reservation in posts in government services. This order regarding this policy was sent to all the departments. All departments were asked to adopt this policy related to reservation in government jobs for disabled people. The Urban Development Department did not implement this policy for about two years. After expressing displeasure at the highest level in this regard, the Urban Development Department has now adopted the mandate of the Disabled Welfare Department. In the order issued by the department, all the municipal bodies have been instructed to strictly and transparently implement the system of giving horizontal reservation to the disabled in the recruitment to all the posts of centralized service.
