UP AQI Today: Shadow of pollution on breath, air becomes more poisonous after Diwali, difficult to breathe in NCR

UP Air Quality Index: After Diwali, pollution in the air of UP has increased significantly. A few days ago there was relief from rain and light drizzle. But now the situation has become worse than before. Meanwhile, the effect of fog will now be seen in the cities of Uttar Pradesh. Fog will prevail until the sun comes out. After this the sky will be clear. But there may be fog, there is no possibility of any major change in the temperature at present. According to Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, the effect of fog will be more visible on expressways, highways and open places. This sequence will continue till 17th November. After this there will be fog. The sky will start clearing around nine in the morning. There may be bright sunshine in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the day temperature is expected to be around 28 to 29 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature may remain around 14 to 15 degrees Celsius. There is no possibility of rain in the state at present. According to Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, the weather will remain dry in the state till November 19. The effect of light to moderate fog has started appearing at different places.

Increase in pollution after smoke from fireworks

According to the Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, meanwhile, the level of air pollution has increased significantly in many cities after the smoke of fireworks. While Delhi’s air has reached the Red Zone, its effect is more visible in Western UP and NCR. Pollution levels have increased significantly in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Baghpat etc. AQI of Meerut and Baghpat has crossed 400. In many cities it is beyond 300. Cities have become chambers of dangerous gases. The air has become poisonous. The effect of smog is visible everywhere. In many areas, the maximum level of presence of hazardous pollutants has been recorded up to 500 micrograms per meter cube. This is the highest among pollution standards.

Pollution situation on Tuesday

In Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday morning, AQI of UP capital Lucknow was 176, Meerut 177, Allahabad 300, Bulandshahr 128, Faizabad 277, Fatehpur 110, Ghaziabad 264, Gorakhpur 204, Hapur 163, Jaunpur 243, Jhansi. AQI was recorded at 216, Kanpur at 231, Mirzapur at 222, Noida at 341, Sitapur at 180 and Varanasi at 252. Bareilly’s AQI is 175. The AQI of Rajendra Nagar here is 146, Rampur Garden is 145 and Subhash Nagar is 152. Bareilly’s AQI was 233 on Monday night, which is in very bad condition. The PM here is 2.5, 233 and PM 10, 197. Which is not breathable. Nitrogen dioxide, and ground ozone can increase respiratory diseases in people. AQI is expected to increase further in the next 24 hours.

The situation in the countryside also worsened

Along with Bareilly city, AQI has reached bad condition in rural areas also. The AQI of rural areas Amla, Baheri, Faridpur, Nawabganj, Shergarh, Shishgarh has also reached 172, which is a matter of concern. The climate of the countryside used to be better than that of the city. But now the climate of the countryside has also started deteriorating.

Humans need oxygen, know how much AQI should be

Oxygen is necessary for every human being. Its deficiency starts having adverse effects on health. The oxygen level of inhaled air should be 19.5 percent oxygen. Oxygen going below this causes harm. 0 to 50 AQI is fine. It has less effect on health. 51-100 AQI is also fine. But, sensitive people may have mild respiratory problems. Not good after 101. Lung, heart and asthma patients have difficulty in breathing due to AQI of 101 to 200. But, more than 50 cities of UP have AQI more than 200. 201-300 AQI is quite bad. Anyone living in such an environment for a long time is bound to have breathing problems.

Cold winds increased the cold in Bareilly

The cold has started increasing in the Terai areas due to cold winds. Meteorologists have said that fog will increase in the coming days due to increase in moisture in the air. The minimum temperature was recorded at 16 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning. Further decline in minimum temperature is expected here.
