Heat Wave: Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will chair a meeting with States and Union Territories today to assess and review preparedness for heat related diseases due to heatwave conditions in some parts of the country.

Earlier, on Tuesday also Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya chaired a high-level meeting to review public health preparedness in connection with the ongoing heat wave across the country. Significantly, many people are suffering due to the scorching heat across the country. Earlier, IMD scientist Naresh Kumar had said that the temperature in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana would reach 40-45 degrees in the coming days. He said, heat wave continues in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Orange alert has been issued in these parts.

UP CM status review

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level meeting amid reports of heatwave in UP to review the situation and give necessary directions. CM Yogi said, for the last few days, the effect of heat wave is being seen in different districts of the state. In such a situation, concrete arrangements should be made at every level for the protection of common life, animal husbandry and wildlife. The Chief Minister said, in case of illness, provide immediate medical facilities to everyone. People affected by heat wave should be treated immediately in hospitals/medical colleges.
