Mayank Yadav, who intimidated with his speed, never thought in his early days that he would become a fast bowler. However, his first coach Tarak Sinha understood his ability and after that his story changed. Mayank has made his debut for Lucknow Super Giants in this season’s IPL. He has created a new history by taking wickets at a fast pace and winning the Man of the Match award in the first two matches. At the age of just 21, he has done something which had never happened before in the history of IPL. On Tuesday, by bowling at a speed of 156.7 kilometers per hour, he took the wickets of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green. Earlier, he had taken three wickets for 27 runs against Punjab. One thing remained common in the two matches, which was the speed of his balls, which makes him the most dangerous bowler. According to the kind of approach of Indian Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar, it is certain that Mayank can get a chance in the team. India can travel for ICC T-20 World Cup and Australia Test series in June.

Famous as the madcap bowler

Mayank took initial training at Sonet Cricket Academy, Delhi. The people of that club call him ‘Rajdhani Express’. However, in Delhi he is discussed as the bowler who breaks heads. Mayank’s father Prabhu Yadav has a company in Delhi, which makes sirens for ambulances and police vehicles. Father is a fan of legendary West Indies bowler Curtly Ambrose and it was he who inspired Mayank to become a fast bowler.

Family ties to Bihar

Mayank Yadav also has connections with Bihar. The family is a resident of Ratho village in Supaul district. Although he has settled in Delhi.

Consider Dale Steyn as an ideal

Even though Mayank’s father asks him to become a bowler like Curtly Ambrose, he is a fan of South African fast bowler Dale Steyn.

Have played one first class match

Mayank has played one first-class match for Delhi, taking two wickets. Has taken 34 wickets in 17 List-A matches, while has taken 18 wickets in 13 T-20 matches.
