Two flights coming to Patna from Delhi and Chandigarh diverted to Bhubaneswar due to fog, one flight canceled

Due to fog, two flights coming from Delhi and Chandigarh were diverted to Bhubaneswar at Patna airport on Thursday, while one flight going to Delhi had to be canceled at night. Indigo flight 6E-2163 from Delhi reached Patna 10 minutes late at 8:40 am. But due to fog at that time the visibility had gone below one thousand meters. Due to this it was not possible for the pilot to see the runway. The pilot made seven-eight circles in the sky and then attempted landing once more. But could not get down. After that he along with 182 passengers was diverted to Bhubaneswar. After this, IndiGo flight 6E-6394, coming from Chandigarh to Patna and going from here to Bhubaneswar, was also diverted to Bhubaneswar, 1:15 hours late from the scheduled time of 10:35 am. Due to this, 178 passengers were coming from Chandigarh to Patna.

Passengers waiting for the plane created ruckus

When the passengers waiting at Patna airport to go to Delhi and Bhubaneswar got information about the diversion of these two flights, they started creating ruckus. At 12 noon the diverted flight from Bhubaneswar returned to Patna and after 35 minutes it went to Delhi with the passengers. An hour later in the afternoon, the diverted flight coming from Chandigarh returned to Patna and landed. From here it again went to Bhubaneswar with passengers at 1:40 pm.

Last flight of the night canceled

Due to fog, IndiGo flight 6E-2482 coming from Delhi was canceled at 8:45 pm in Delhi. Due to this, the passengers coming from Patna had to reschedule their flights coming there on Friday and in the next one or two days.

SpiceJet plane stood at taxi bay for one and a half hour

The SpiceJet flight from Patna to Bengaluru remained standing in the taxi bay for one and a half hours due to a wing fault at Patna airport. The passengers were deboarded from the plane and it was repaired, after which the plane left for Bengaluru. A total of 165 passengers along with crew members were present in the plane. The incident occurred on Wednesday night at 9:47 pm. This flight was going to Bangalore. The plane reached Patna at 9:17 pm with a delay of one hour and 17 minutes and was about to take off. The pilot was taking the aircraft from the parking bay towards the runway via taxi bay, when his attention was drawn towards the Diana of the aircraft, which was not rotating properly. After this the pilot parked the plane there. Then after deboarding the passengers, its aircraft maintenance team repaired it. After this the plane took off at 11:17 pm.
