Two corona positive found in Patna, health department instructed to stay in home isolation

Patna. After a long time, two patients infected with Corona virus have been identified in the capital. One patient has returned from a trip to Kerala, while the other infected person has returned from a trip to Assam. Health Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh said that both the patients have been advised to remain in home isolation. He told that the sample of one patient has been tested at IGIMS and the sample of the other has been tested at ESIC Hospital, Bihta. On Wednesday, 2600 samples were tested across the state.

A patient has come from Assam

Health Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh said that the first patient is 29 years old, who is a resident of Gardnibagh. After symptoms of cold and cough were found in him, he gave his sample to Gardnibagh Hospital. After investigation, Corona virus has been found in him. Corona test of other members of his family is being done. The second patient is a native of Banka. He lives in Patna and has returned from a trip to Assam. This patient had gone to ESIC Hospital, Bihta for his sinus operation, where when he was tested, he was found corona positive. He told that only after genome sequencing it will be known which sub-variant of Corona is there in both.

Corona RTPCR test will be done in all districts

The Health Secretary said that Corona RTPCR test has to be conducted in all the districts. All hospitals have to keep essential medicines, equipment, oxygen cylinders, nebulizers and PSA plants active. Currently, all the districts and medical colleges have been instructed to be on alert regarding this. At present there is no need to panic about Corona.

Darbhanga administration alerted about Corona virus

On the other hand, once again there is a situation of alert in Darbhanga regarding Corona virus and its infection. Instructions were given to be ready with masks, oxygen cylinders, medicines and other essential items and store them. In view of the new JN-1 subvariant of Corona, the district has been asked to conduct RTPCR and antigen testing. Preparations regarding this have been started in the district. However, RTPCR kits are not available in abundance with the CS office. Correspondence has been done to make this available.

No need to panic, caution is necessary

Civil Surgeon Dr. Anil Kumar Sinha said that there is no need to panic. It is necessary to be careful, only then one can remain safe. The health department is ready to deal with Corona. Facilities of oxygen, medicine, testing etc. are available. Health workers are being trained. Told that all the necessary equipment is arranged in the sub-divisional hospital. Instructions have been given to conduct RTPCR test of 25 people every day in PHC. One thousand people will be tested with antigen kits at places like railway stations, bus stops etc.

Claim to have completed preparations in DMCH

It has been claimed that preparations have been made in DMCH, the largest health institute of North Bihar, to deal with the new sub-variant of Corona. Arrangements have been made in the 20 bed ICU and 20 bed Corona ward. DSCH Deputy Superintendent Harendra Kumar said that there is no need to be afraid of Corona. There is a need to avoid rumors and remain alert. Facilities of oxygen, medicine, testing etc. are available in DMCH. Trend health workers are deputed. All the equipment in ICU and Corona ward is fine.
