Gumla: A truck suddenly caught fire near Tarri Jungle Bypass in Gumla police station area of Gumla district of Jharkhand. The driver showed wisdom and parked the truck on the side of the road and saved his life by jumping out of the truck. In the incident, the front part of the truck and the documents were burnt to ashes. The truck driver told that this accident happened in Gumla while going from Raipur in Chhattisgarh to Pakur in Jharkhand. As soon as the news was received, fire brigade vehicles and Gumla police reached. After this the fire was brought under control.

Truck driver Nehru Kumar, resident of Topchanchi, said that while going from Raipur to Pakur with a barbed wire, suddenly a loud noise was heard on the bridge near Tarri Jungle Bypass. When we got down, smoke was coming out from some pipes. After this suddenly a fire broke out. The truck was started. The driver ran into the truck, but by then the flames had increased and the seats of the truck were burning. Somehow the driver stopped starting the car. During this, his hand also got burnt.
Front part of truck burnt to ashes
Within no time the flames from the truck were rising very high. The driver called the fire department. Even before the fire brigade arrived, the front part of the truck started burning. The fire was brought under control as soon as the fire brigade arrived, but the front part of the truck was burnt to ashes. In this incident, the documents, clothes and other items kept in the cabin of the truck were also burnt to ashes.

Gumla police reached as soon as the news was received
Two fire tenders reached the spot. Gumla police station also reached the incident site and took information about the matter. A crowd of people gathered at the spot. The driver told that he was going to Pakur with a wire picket from Raipur. At around 5.45 the truck jerked into the pit on the bridge. There was some noise, when I stopped the car and looked down, the pipe was on fire, I immediately poured water on the fire. After this the fire blazed even more vigorously.
