Truck caught fire after collision in Madhepura, driver burnt to death, dozens of shops damaged

On Tuesday night in Madhepura, a truck driver lost his life in a collision between a highway and a coal laden truck in Reshna Bazaar of Arar OP area. The loss is estimated to be around Rs 50 lakh due to dozens of shops being damaged. Many kinds of things are being said regarding the incident. According to the information, at around 11 pm on Tuesday night, a coal-laden truck of UP number 22 wheeler was coming from Madhepura. Which went out of control due to tire burst near Reshna Shiv Temple and went down the road on the western side of NH 106. Due to the truck being out of control, it entered the shop of Shyam Sundar Das, destroying more than half a dozen shops. Where the engine of the truck caught fire. Due to the fire, the shop along with the goods kept in the shop were completely burnt to ashes. One person died due to burning after getting stuck in the steering wheel of the truck. People estimate that the person who died was the driver of the truck.

Some people say that around 11 pm on Tuesday night, a ballast laden highway was moving out of control and speeding from Udakishunganj. Due to its opening from behind, the ballast had fallen on the road and had taken the form of a breaker. Due to the collision with the truck from the highway, the truck went down the road on the western side of the road, breaking several shops and entering the shop of Shyam Sundar Das, breaking the front part of his pucca-built shop. Officials arrived after getting information

As soon as information about the incident was received, CO Rakesh Kumar, Police Station Head Vijay Paswan, OP President Pappu Kumar Sadal reached the incident site and started relief work. On the information of villagers, two fire brigades from Udakishunganj and two fire brigades from Madhepura reached the spot and tried to control the fire, but by then there had been damage worth lakhs and one person had lost his life.

Burnt body taken out from truck by JCB

The truck was hit so hard that the engine part of the truck got stuck. The driver was crushed by the steering wheel and was almost burnt to death. Due to which he died. The dead body was taken out piece by piece with the help of JCB. The process of collecting the body parts and sending them for post-mortem was done by OP President Pappu Kumar.

Villager Mustaq Alam and others including Shyamsundar Das’s grocery shop, Ramchandra Das’s paan shop, Lalmohan Das’s general store, puja path shop, Shyamlal Yadav’s bicycle shop, Santosh Kumar’s laptop shop, Ravindra Thakur’s salon, Mo Anjar’s mobile shop and Salauddin’s Anda Ki Gumti have been almost completely destroyed. Confirming the incident, CO Rakesh Kumar said that the incident is a big one. As far as damage assessment is concerned, nothing can be said yet.
