The rain that started in Hajipur on Friday night continued intermittently on Saturday also. Farmers are happy with this rain but it has put the city dwellers in trouble. Incessant rains have left the entire city inundated. The city roads submerged in rain water look like ponds. Due to accumulated water and mud on the roads, people are facing huge problems in transportation. Due to intermittent heavy rains, water accumulated on the roads of Hospital Road, Kachari Road, Police Station Road, Rajendra Chowk, SDO Road, Gandhi Chowk-Bagmali Road, Pokhara Mohalla, Cinema Station Road etc. of the city. One to one and a half feet of rain water has accumulated in many areas. Due to severe water logging on the road, two-wheelers were coming to a halt again and again. Rain water has also entered the houses in many localities. Due to water entering the house, the problems of the people have increased a lot.
Difficulty in traffic due to pothole on the road
Many roads of the city have become quite dilapidated and have turned into potholes. After laying the sewerage pipeline, the road has not been repaired properly. Due to heavy rains, roads have caved in at many places. People are facing a lot of trouble in commuting due to accumulation of water on the roads which have turned into potholes and have sunken at many places. After the rain, traffic on Hospital Road, RN College Road, Chauhatta to Jadhua has become very difficult.
