Train Cancelled: The ongoing farmers’ movement in Ambala and Ferozepur of Punjab has affected the operation of trains at many places in the country. Due to this, passengers are facing problems in Uttar Pradesh also. Indian Railways has canceled many trains. The routes of many trains have also been changed. Of these, 14 long distance trains pass through Bareilly. Most trains will be affected on 28th and 29th September. Its effect will be visible in Bareilly on 30th September and 1st October.

Operation of these trains of Bareilly Moradabad route affected

Due to farmers’ agitation, 13006-13005 Amritsar-Howrah Punjab Mail of Moradabad division has been canceled on 28th September. This train will not come to Bareilly on 29th September. This train will run till Ludhiana from Friday. 15212-15211 Amritsar-Darbhanga Jannayak Express, 13152-13151 Kolkata Express, 12318 Akal Takht Express, 14618 Janseva Express, 12408 New Jalpaiguri Express, 15933 Amritsar Express, 12237 Bempura Express, 13307 Ganga-Sutlej Express were also affected for two days due to the farmers’ movement. Will remain. Moradabad Railway Division has issued information regarding the affected trains and has appealed to the passengers to proceed on the journey only after seeing the condition of the trains.

10 trains passing through Saharanpur affected

Along with this, 10 trains passing through Saharanpur have been affected. Shaheed, Ganga Sutlej, Chhattisgarh Express had to be cancelled, while Karmabhoomi, Sriganganagar Express was run up to Ambala. The routes of other six trains were changed and operated. Due to this the passengers had to face problems. In fact, on Thursday afternoon, farmers staged a sit-in protest on different railway tracks in Punjab. Trains did not run from Punjab due to the protest by farmers regarding their demands. The operation of trains coming from Rishikesh, Howrah, Bihar, New Jalpaiguri also remained disrupted. At the same time, the routes of Howrah-Jammu Tawi Himgiri, Jammu Tawi-Varanasi Begumpura, Kolkata-Amritsar Akaltakht and Jammu Tawi-Kanpur Central Superfast Express were changed. There was crowd at the bus stand due to sudden cancellation of trains and change in routes. Passengers reached their destination by roadways buses. People also had to face troubles. Station Superintendent Anil Kumar Tyagi said that trains were affected due to the arrival of farmers on different railway tracks in Punjab.

Passengers faced a lot of problems

Due to the farmers’ agitation, the operation of Shalimar Jammu Tawi Express was also affected. The train was stopped first at Muzaffarnagar and then at Rohana Kalan station. Keeping in view the safety of the passengers, the train was sent from Rohana to Saharanpur. Shalimar Jammu Tawi Express reached Muzaffarnagar at 15.45 pm, about 15 minutes behind schedule. The train stood here for about one and a quarter hour.

During this period the passengers remained worried. At the inquiry window, passengers could not get clear information about the stoppage of the train. When the train was dispatched at 9 pm, the passengers heaved a sigh of relief. However, after a few minutes the train was stopped at Rohana Kalan station. The train stood in the forest for about one and a quarter hour. During this period the passengers faced difficulties. Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, the railway officials left the train for Saharanpur at 10.15. In Punjab, the operation of trains has been affected due to farmers sitting on the railway tracks.
