TRAI Data: Number of telecom consumers increased to 117.07 crore, know how many Jio Airtel added

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) said in the monthly report for January 2023, the number of telephone subscribers in India increased from 117.03 crore at the end of December 2022 to 117.07 crore at the end of January 2023. The monthly growth rate during this period was 0.03 percent. Wireline connections in the country increased from 2.74 crore in December to 2.77 crore in January. This growth in the wireline category was mainly in Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. It added 2.1 lakh and 1.1 lakh new customers respectively. Public sector MTNL declined the most in the category. It lost 29,857 of its customers. After this, BSNL lost 19,781 wireline customers, Tata Teleservices 9,444, Vodafone Idea 3,727 and Reliance Communications 275 customers.
