In such a situation, the Muzaffarpur district administration has issued an order to close schools up to 5th standard across the district on Wednesday. District Magistrate Pranav Kumar told that private and government schools up to fifth grade have been closed tomorrow i.e. from Thursday to next Monday due to the rising heat since Wednesday. The temperature will be reviewed once again next Monday. After that it will be told whether this bandh will continue further or not. This order has been given keeping in view the rising temperature and excessive heat especially in the afternoon and its effect on the health of the children.

The maximum temperature in Bihar has broken all the records in the month of April itself due to the westerly wind and strong rays of the sun. The temperature in many districts of the state has reached close to 44 degree Celsius. Due to increase in temperature, the problems of the people have increased. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of continuing the same situation for the next two days. Heatwave prevailed in 18 districts of the state on Tuesday. Very few people are going out on the streets in the afternoon.
