Traffic system will improve in Hajipur, now challan will be issued for parking here and there.

Hajipur. Due to Diwali and Chhath Puja, crowds of people are gathering in the city for shopping and other works. To make the traffic system in the city accessible and deal with the problem of traffic jams in the city, the traffic police has started working on a master plan. The police are being very alert in the main squares and intersections of the city and especially in the crowded areas. Special vigilance of the police is being observed on the marked routes which are jammed in the city, while for this the police is also issuing challans on a large scale to the vehicles parked in no parking zones. The police present at the spot are also keeping a close watch on the suspicious persons. At the same time, no entry of vehicles has been imposed on the road from Subhash Chowk to Cinema Road, Gandhi Chowk to Kachari Road and Gudri road in the city. However, ambulances, school vehicles and other essential vehicles have been allowed to travel on these routes.

According to the traffic police officer, regarding the festive season, various places of Hajipur city including Station Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Gandhi Chowk, Trimurti Chowk, SDO Road turn, near Bhanwariya of Lalganj Marg, Anjan Peer Chowk, Paswan Chowk, Kachari Road and Ram Ashish Chowk. A total of 85 police personnel have been deployed at the places. Police personnel deployed at various intersections are keeping a close watch on suspicious people to keep the entire city jam-free and especially on crowded roads. Along with this, four teams of traffic police are also running intensive vehicle checking campaigns in different areas of the city.

Challan being issued for parking vehicle in no parking zone

No parking zone has been marked at a total of five places in the city near Kachari Road, Station Chowk, Gandhi Chowk, Trimurti Chowk and Bhanwaria on Lalganj Marg. If bikes, autos or other vehicles are found parked on the roadside at these places, the police are issuing challans to the drivers. According to the police officer, a challan of Rs 500 is being issued for parking a vehicle in a no parking zone and a challan of Rs 2,000 for entering a no entry zone. At the same time, in other cases too, the traffic police is issuing challans and collecting fines from people during vehicle checking.

Additional forces will be deployed for the festival

Traffic police station chief Rajesh Kumar Singh said that adequate police forces will be deployed to maintain the traffic order in the city during Diwali and Chhath Puja. A separate demand has been made for additional police personnel for this. Barricading will be done through trolleys at various intersections. Police are keeping a special eye on suspicious people in crowded areas. Challans are being issued for parking autos and other vehicles at main intersections.
