The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has given information about traffic rules and rules for use of Digi-Locker. Under this rule, there is no need to keep documents like driving license, registration certificate, pollution control certificate (PUC) of the driver of any vehicle in physical form. If you have kept these documents in Digi-Locker or M-Parivahan app, then no action will be taken against you nor can your challan be deducted.

Digi-Locker or M-Parivahan app contains complete details of the driver, passenger and vehicle. Traffic policemen or any law enforcement personnel can easily view the documents digitally. What is DigiLocker?
The full form of Digi-Locker is Digital Locker. This is an initiative of the Government of India under the Digital India Programme.
