It is reported that in Navgachia of Bhagalpur district of Bihar, the traffic police has issued a challan of Rs 1 lakh to a youth who was riding a Royal Enfield Bullet for not wearing a helmet. The special thing is that the concerned youth is a resident of Chausa in Madhepura district.
Challan deducted during checking
According to media reports, the traffic police was checking at Kadwa check post in Navgachia, Bhagalpur. Meanwhile, his eyes fell on Rajabul, a resident of Chausa, Madhepura, who was riding a Royal Enfield Bullet without a helmet. Traffic policemen first stopped him and after interrogating him issued a challan of Rs 1 lakh.

While talking to the media, Rajabul said that I was going from my home to Navagachia for some important work. At the same time, the traffic police issued a challan of Rs 1 lakh for not wearing a helmet while checking vehicles at Kadwa check post. He said that without a helmet, the fine is Rs 1,000, but my challan was issued for Rs 1 lakh. He said that even after issuing the challan, I am still making rounds of the Bhagalpur District Transport Office and sometimes the check post.

Police station officer assured to improve the situation
After this matter came to the media, Kadwa police station SHO Randhir Kumar said that the challan will be rectified soon. For this, he has written a letter to the Senior Superintendent of Police and informed him. In this letter, he has given the reason for such mistake as being due to technical glitch. While talking to the media, he said that correction in the challan can be done only from the control room.
