Toyota’s three 7 seater SUV cars are ready to rock, all better than the other.

3 Upcoming 7-Seater Toyota SUV: Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is currently working to launch three new SUV cars for India. This includes a rebadged edition of the Bronx. It is called Toyota Urban Cruiser Taser. This SUV will be launched this year. Apart from this, three other SUV cars are also waiting in the queue to enter the market.

7-seater Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider

The three-liner SUV Toyota Urban Cruiser Hybrid will be based on the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Y17. As a five-seat midsize SUV, the seven-seat highrider will share much in common with the Y17, including its platform and mechanical bits. A 1.5 liter strong hybrid petrol engine will be used in it and it can also be offered with a 1.5 liter mild-hybrid petrol engine. It will likely retain the same wheelbase as its five-seater model, but will make changes at the rear to accommodate two people in the last row. There may be new additions to its feature list, while the Y17 is expected to go on sale by the middle of this decade.

Toyota Fortuner Mild Hybrid

Toyota is expanding the presence of the mild-hybrid spec Hilux in the global market and will be followed by the introduction of the Fortuner Mild Hybrid Edition. Given the popularity of the Fortuner here, India could be one of the first markets to get this technology. It works in tandem with the GD series diesel engine to improve acceleration, fuel efficiency and performance while reducing emissions.

7-seater Toyota Corolla Cross

The Japanese automaker is speculated to launch its own Maruti Suzuki EVX-based electric midsize SUV as early as 2025. The global Corolla Cross seven-seater may also be introduced exclusively for India in the same calendar year. It will be manufactured from Toyota’s third plant in Bidadi, Karnataka. The third-liner Corolla Cross is based on the same TNGA-C platform as the Innova HiCross and will be positioned above the upcoming seven-seater Highrider. It is rumored to be powered by the same 2.0L NA petrol and 2.0L hybrid petrol engines found in the HiCross.
