This new 7 seater car of Toyota will be developed on the global C-platform of Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

New Toyota Hydrader Engine

The engine of the 5 seater Urban Cruiser Hyrider can be given in the new 7 seater Toyota Hyrider. The 5-seater Highrider gets a strong hybrid powertrain, which may include a Toyota-sourced 1.5-litre 3-cylinder NA petrol engine running on the Atkinson cycle and an electric motor rated at 78bhp-141Nm torque. This powertrain will be mated to an ECVT automatic gearbox, which generates maximum power of 114bhp. The other engine option is a mild-hybrid unit, consisting of a 102bhp, 1.5 liter K15C NA petrol engine. It is connected to an electric motor.

Transmission of the new Toyota Hydrader

The new Toyota Hydrader has the option of 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. This SUV can be offered in both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations. It is expected that both these powertrains may be weak for the 3-row SUV. Therefore, Toyota can also offer the option of a 2.0 liter strong hybrid powertrain that powers the Innova Hycross.
