Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisore: Japanese car manufacturer Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched its new car Urban Cruiser Taser in the Indian market on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. The company has developed this car on the platform of Maruti Front. However, the FrontX itself has been developed on the platform of Maruti Baleno. This is not the first time that Toyota is introducing its new car using the platform of Maruti’s Baleno or Bronx. Even before this it has introduced four models in the market. Along with launching the Urban Cruiser Taser in the market, Toyota has also started booking it. Its delivery will start from May 2024.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has borrowed the design of its new car Urban Cruiser Taser from Maruti Front. It has similar dimensions and silhouette with updated front and rear profiles. Apart from this, it also has modified front grille, modified bumper, new styled LED DRL and re-designed alloy wheels.

Toyota Tasar has been launched with the same powertrain as the Maruti Suzuki Swift, which has a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine. This engine is capable of generating maximum power of 88 bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. Apart from this, it has a 1.0-turbo petrol motor, which generates maximum power of 99 bhp and peak torque of 148 Nm. Its 1.2-litre engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT, while the turbo petrol gets a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic torque converter unit. The option of a company-fitted CNG kit is also on offer with select variants.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taser Price and Competition
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the crossover car Urban Cruiser Taser at a starting price of Rs 7.73 lakh. The price of its top variant is Rs 13.03 lakh. The company will start its delivery from May 2024. However, its booking has also started with the launch. This is the sixth product launched in India under the Toyota-Maruti collaboration. In the market it will compete with Maruti Frontex, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite and the upcoming Mahindra XUV300.
