Toyota is going to bring Innova HyCross in a new variant

Toyota Innova HyCross: Japanese car manufacturer Toyota Motor is preparing to launch a new variant of its popular car Innova Highcross in the market. The company has listed the three-row car on its official website. This new variant is known as Innova Highcross GX (O). It will be placed on top of other variants and this variant will be available only with petrol engine. However, Toyota has not yet made any official announcement regarding when this new variant of Innova High Cross will hit the market. However, it has listed all the features with which it will be launched.

Innova HyCross will come in 8-seater layout

According to Toyota’s official website, the GX (O) variant of the Innova Highcross MPV will come with a seating capacity of eight people, including the driver. Under the hood will be a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which is used for all other variants of the MPV. The engine will be connected to the CVT transmission unit. The engine can generate power of approximately 173 bhp and peak torque of 209 Nm.

In terms of looks, the new Innova High Cross variant will not be much different from other variants. The interiors of the Innova HighCross GX (O) will come with a dual-tone theme of chestnut brown and black. Its feature list includes a large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will have Toyota’s Connect Audio feature. This MPV will also get rear retractable sunshade, automatic climate control and 360 degree camera, which will have panoramic view guide with dynamic back guide. Its other features include panoramic sunroof, powered ottoman seats in the second row and ADAS technology.

How much will be the price of the new variant of Innova HyCross?

Toyota currently sells the Innova Hycross non-hybrid variant in four variants. Prices for the petrol-only Innova HighCross start at Rs 18.92 lakh, going up to Rs 19.82 lakh for the GX eight-seater variant. The GX (O) variant of the upcoming MPV is expected to command a premium of Rs 50,000 upon launch. In the MPV segment, it competes with other cars like Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
