This is what the woman said when she was sitting with her fiance in a park in Ghaziabad and was harassed by the police. One of the Ghaziabad policemen whom the woman accused of sexual harassment has been suspended.
Complaint registered in Ghaziabad Kotwali police station
The victim alleged that the accused policeman and another person had allegedly pressurized the victim to have physical relations. Along with misbehaving with the woman’s fiance, illegal extortion was also made. In this case, the victim woman has lodged a complaint at Ghaziabad Kotwali police station on 28 September. According to the complaint, the incident took place on September 16. According to the allegations lodged by the woman in the FIR, she had gone to a park with her fiance in the afternoon. Then two police personnel and another person in plain clothes reached there on a police bike. It is alleged that all three threatened and intimidated this couple. The woman’s fiance was also slapped. After this the policemen also demanded Rs 10,000 from him.
The couple was let go after taking one thousand rupees on Paytm.
According to the FIR, the names of the accused policemen are Rakesh Kumar and Digambar. It has been said in the complaint that Rakesh Kumar also forced the woman to have sex. One of them allegedly demanded Rs 5.5 lakh. The couple was stopped and harassed for three hours. Ultimately, the couple was allowed to go after receiving Rs 1,000 on Paytm.
