At many places the roads caved in, while many houses were dilapidated and collapsed due to the rains. However, no major loss of life has been reported so far.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains in 42 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Agra and Mathura were also included in this. It rained heavily in Agra and Mathura since Tuesday evening. It rained for about two hours, breaking the 18-year-old record of 65 mm of rain in Agra. In two hours of rain, many areas of Agra city were completely submerged.

A drain was made by the Municipal Corporation to drain the water filling under the Strachey Bridge on Hathi Ghat Road. Which used to fall in Yamuna river. But, due to the flood a few days ago, the water of Yamuna was coming back on the road.

Because of this, that drain was closed by the Municipal Corporation. But, even after the flood was over, the drain was not opened. In such a situation, about 4 to 5 feet of water was filled under the bridge in two hours of rain. Because of this, hundreds of motorists coming out from here had to face a lot of problems. A bus and many other vehicles got stuck in this rain water and stopped.

Due to torrential rains in many areas of the city, the road also caved in. Many two wheeler drivers got injured by suddenly falling into the sunken roads. Sometimes due to light and sometimes heavy rains, there has been water-logging again at many places. People are not even able to do their daily work.

On the other hand, due to the rains that started on Wednesday morning in Mathura, about two and a half to three feet of water filled the Kunj streets. Water started entering the houses of many people. At the same time, an old house collapsed in Dalpat Khirki area of ​​the city. This house is being told of tea maker Pradeep Kumar. Although no one was present when the part of the house collapsed, due to which there was no loss of life.

About one and a half to two feet of water has been filled on the road leading to the Banke Bihari temple, due to which the devotees have to go through the water to visit Banke Bihari.

In Prakash Nagar of Agra, 6 to 7 feet of water was filled in the railway underpass. Because of which the residents of Prakash Nagar are not able to travel. Although pedestrians are crossing the railway line and reaching the other side. But, due to high water logging, no one is coming out from under the underpass.

In Shahganj of Agra, at around 10 o’clock in the night, due to rain, an old house remained. Although this house was vacant for a long time due to which no one was present here. At the same time, due to the loud sound that came after the house collapsed, panic spread among the people around.
