Tiger seen again in Palamu Tiger Reserve of Jharkhand, picture captured in camera trap

Betla (Latehar) Santosh Kumar: In Palamu Tiger Reserve (PTR) of Latehar district of Jharkhand, the picture of a tiger has again been captured in the camera trap which takes pictures by sensing any activity happening around it. The presence of four tigers remains constant in the dense forests of PTR. More than 100 camera traps have been installed at different places to keep an eye on their activities. Positive results are visible from installing cameras in areas where tigers are present. While there is a wave of happiness in the PTR management after the attractive picture of the tiger has surfaced, on the other hand the security arrangements have been strengthened. Field Director of Palamu Tiger Reserve, Kumar Ashutosh informed that now the presence of tiger is continuously being recorded in PTR. This is a matter of great happiness.

More than 100 camera traps have been installed in Palamu Tiger Reserve. These are being used to capture automatic photographs. This camera is installed secretly in rugged forests. The person in front does not know anything about this camera before taking the photo. As soon as someone passes near the camera, the camera gets activated and automatically takes the picture.

Continuous presence of tiger is being recorded
Apart from this, more than 300 tiger tracker forest guards and other equipment equipped with modern technology have been installed in Palamu Tiger Reserve. Its results are beginning to emerge. Almost every month the picture of a tiger is coming out two or three times. Field Director of Palamu Tiger Reserve, Kumar Ashutosh said that the result of monitoring in Palamu Tiger Reserve since last year is that the presence of the tiger is being recorded continuously.
