Ranchi/Ramgarh/Kuzu/Barkakana/Giddi. The Investigation Branch of the Income Tax Department on Thursday searched a total of 43 locations, including 18 of the business group of the state’s famous industrialist Ramchandra Rungta (RC Rungta) and 25 of his associate ‘Green Tech’. raid hit. The locations of businessmen located in Ranchi, Ramgarh, Kolkata, Delhi and Jamshedpur have been included in the raid. The team of Income Tax officers started raiding all the above mentioned places simultaneously at 7:00 am. Documents related to crude trade have been seized during the raid. RC Rungta is the chairman of ‘Rungta Steel Group’, while Abhishek Rungta, Alok Rungta and Ashish Rungta are directors. There are many companies in Rungta Steel Group. This includes Jharkhand Ispat, Alok Steel Industries, Maa Chinnamastika Cement, Shri Durga Cement and Joint Venture Company VFPL. The Income Tax Department has also included the director of the company and other companies of the group in the scope of the raid. A team of Income Tax officials raided 25 locations of Green Tech, a subsidiary of Rungta Group. All Green Tech locations are in the same districts where Rungta Steel factories are located. This company is accused of wrongly providing bills etc. to Rungta Group. The documents found from these places during the raid are being examined.
