Three DMs including Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, who clashed with KK Pathak, got awards, 60 officers were honoured.

On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, in the state level function organized in Patna on Thursday, the District Magistrates of three districts as well as 60 various personnel associated with the election process were given best wishes. Electoral Practices Award 2023 has been awarded. In the program organized on the 14th National Voters’ Day at the convention building, Chief Electoral Officer HR Srinivas honored all the personnel for their excellent work. In the program, Best DEO Special Award, Best ERO and RO and Best BLO Award were given in four categories. The officers who were honored were given prize money and citations.

Three District Magistrates received awards

Patna Divisional Commissioner Kumar Ravi, ADG GS Gangwar and other officials of the Election Department were present in the program. DM cum District Election Officer (DEO) Gopalganj Dr Naval Kishore Chaudhary was given the first prize, DM cum DEO of Vaishali district Yashpal Meena was given the second prize and DM cum DEC of Patna district Dr Chandrashekhar Singh was given the third prize.

Slogan announced for 2024 Lok Sabha elections

On this occasion, the CEO said that in the last two and a half months, 64 lakh voter forms were processed. 28 lakh new voters were included. Of these, 23 lakh new voters are below 29 years of age.
