According to information, smugglers buy these rare species of turtles from rural areas at a cheap price and are sold in foreign markets for thousands of rupees. Apart from eating, these turtles are used in making many types of medicines, due to which there is a lot of demand in the international market. However, Kunda police station in-charge Praveen Kumar along with DFO Rajkumar Sah interrogated the accused caught with the tortoise. Till the news is written, the team of Police and Forest Department is engaged in the investigation of the matter.
