Thousands of students took to the streets of Patna for jobs in Railways, clash with police during demonstration

Patna. Due to less vacancy for Assistant Loco Pilot recruitment in Railways, students preparing for Railway Competitive Examination once again took to the streets of Patna on Tuesday. The candidates protesting demanding increase in vacancies first reached Bazar Samiti Canal and then Bhikhana Pahari Mor. During this period, a large number of police forces were deployed. Seeing this, the protesting candidates started running here and there for some time. During this period, due to the demonstration, traffic jam situation also arose at many places. Due to which people had to face a lot of trouble.

Minor clash between protesters and policemen

The protesting candidates were going towards Gandhi Maidan via Market Committee Nala, Bhikhana Hill. During this, the police stopped the candidates on the way near Langartoli turn. Due to this, there was a minor clash between the protesters and the policemen. A stampede also broke out on the spot. However, even after being stopped by the police, thousands of candidates moved towards Gandhi Maidan.

Why are the candidates protesting?

The protesting candidates say that they have been preparing for five years. Students from other states including Bihar also appear in the exam, where there will be lakhs of candidates, Railway Recruitment Board has released only 5659 vacancies. This is a betrayal of the students. Railways should remove at least one to one and a half lakh vacancies, otherwise the protests will continue. Apart from this, the examination calendar should be issued. Due to this attitude of Railways, the future of the students is getting spoiled. If the vacancy is not increased soon, students in other states including Bihar will be angry. Students will be forced to block roads and roads.
