Thousands of properties were burnt to ashes due to fire in Hardiyara, Nawalpur and Bhau Chhapra.

Daronda. Property worth thousands was burnt to ashes due to fire at two places in the block. Fire broke out in Darunda Tola, Hardiyara and Nawalpur villages on Wednesday afternoon. Let us tell you that some anti-social elements of the village cooked corn in a semi-built house in Chanwar, east of Hardiyara village, Darunda Tola and went away without extinguishing the fire. The spark from the fire was kept nearby and caught in a bundle of paddy. Within no time the fire took a huge form. The wheat crop sown near the semi-finished house also caught fire. The wheat crop planted in five hectares of the field was reduced to ashes. Seeing the fire burning, the local people reached the spot with green plants and water and extinguished the fire. While cooking, the khomp kept near the house of Shankar Mahato in Nawalpur village of Khand area caught fire due to the spark emanating from the stove. Due to the intensity of the flames, the grains along with the chaff kept in the container were burnt to ashes within a moment. On receiving information from the villagers, the fire brigade team reached the spot and after much effort, the fire was controlled. A fire broke out in the banswari of Bablu Singh, a resident of Sawan Vigraha Tola Bhau Chhapra village. The fire brigade team reached and extinguished the fire. Due to which the wheat crop was saved from fire, on Wednesday afternoon in Daya Chhapra Yadav Tola of Phulwaria village of Raghunathpur block, a fire broke out in the wheat field, about two acres of ready wheat crop was burnt to ashes. Crops of 5 farmers have been damaged in this fire incident. After the incident, efforts were made to control the fire with the help of local people till the fire fighting vehicle also reached the spot and the fire was brought under control. By then, wheat in five acres of field was burnt to ashes. According to eyewitnesses, if the fire fighting vehicle had not arrived on time, the extent of damage could have increased. The names of the farmers whose crops were burnt in this incident include Thakur Yadav, Pashuram Yadav, Ramayan Yadav, Satan Yadav, Vishwanath Yadav.
