This state will form a new board for 10th-12th examination, know what is the government’s proposal

Assam Board: On behalf of the Education Board, the education boards of every state are continuously taking different initiatives to improve education. Last Wednesday i.e. on 7th February, a proposal was presented by the Assam government to form a new board for class 10th and 12th examinations in which a total of 21 members are included. This effort is being made to improve the level of education and to stop cheating so that education can be provided with full quality. The government is planning to abolish the Secondary Board Examination which includes 10th and 12th board examination and create a new board. The point has been made.

Assam State Board of School Education

Assam State School Education Board Bill 2024 was introduced in the Assembly on Wednesday. Currently, Secondary Education Board Assam (SEBA) and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) are active in Assam. According to the proposal presented, these two should be abolished and Assam State School Education Board should now be formed. If this proposal is passed then the education system up to class 12th in the state of Assam will be directed by the Assam State School Education Board.

This is how the board will work

While presenting the proposal, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said that the proposal of this new board has been brought to improve secondary education in the state. Such a system is needed for proper monitoring of education and its development. The head of Assam State School Education Board will be selected by the government itself. There will be 21 people in the board whose tenure will be 3 years. According to Pegu, this proposal will be a better step for school education.
