This Hyundai car launched in the Indian market, will compete with Tata Punch

Hyundai has launched its Extor car in the Indian market. Hyundai’s Xter SUV is a vehicle with safety features. The vehicle will rival the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger. The Hyundai Actor has already received 10,000 bookings. The deliveries of this vehicle have also started in the Indian market. The Xeter is being offered in seven variants. It has EX, EX(O), S, S(O), SX, SX(O) and SX(O) connect. The price of this vehicle starts from Rs.5.99 lakhs and goes up to Rs.10 lakhs.

Available in CNG and Petrol

Hyundai is offering the Xter with petrol and CNG powertrains. Both use the same 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine. It produces 81.86 Bhp of maximum power and 113.8 Nm of peak torque. When running on CNG, these figures drop to 68 Bhp and 95.2 Nm. Maximum power comes at 6,000 rpm while peak torque output comes at 4,000 rpm. The petrol powertrain comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. The CNG powertrain only gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. The wheelbase of the Exeter is 2,450mm and height is 1,631mm. The first electric sunroof of the segment has been given in the car. In terms of mileage, Exeter promises 19.4 kmpl for the manual and 19.2 kmpl for the automatic. The CNG mileage is 27.1 km/kg.

The Exeter gets a host of features which include 8-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster with 4.2-inch colored TFT MID, automatic climate control, semi-leatherette upholstery. For safety, the Exter gets seatbelt reminder for all seats, dashcam with front and rear cameras and a 2.31-inch LCD display, 6 airbags in its base model, high-speed alert and an emergency stop signal. Exeter with segment-first features like footwell lighting, metal pedals, shark-fin antenna, smart electric sunroof, dashcam with dual cameras, wireless charger, rear AC vents, premium floor mats, paddle shifters, on-board navigation and support comes.

There will be tough competition from Tata Punch

In the micro SUV car segment, Hyundai Xtor competes with Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis. At the same time, it will compete with Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Citroën C3 and Maruti Franks in this price range. The interior design of the Hyundai Xter is similar to that of the Aura or Nios, with the same patterned dashboard and an 8-inch touchscreen. The Exeter also gets a digital instrument cluster like the i20. Talking about Tata Punch, the starting price of this vehicle is also Rs. 5.99 lakhs. In terms of safety, this car has got a 5 star rating from Global NCAP. This car is very strong in terms of built quality. In such a situation, Hyundai’s SUV Xtor will have a tough competition with Tata Punch.
