Honda CB300R News: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has recently made an announcement. The company has to recall its CB300R bike. The company said that it has recalled about 2,000 units of the CB300R motorcycle. A manufacturing defect has been found in the right crankcase cover of his engine.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has recalled about two thousand units of the CB300R motorcycle. A manufacturing defect has been found in the right crankcase cover of his engine. The motorcycles ordered by the company are the CB300R of the 2022 model.

HMSI said that the company found that the wrong process was followed during the manufacturing of the right crankcase cover of the engine. Due to this, there is a possibility of slipping of the sealing plug due to the heat of the engine.

The company said that this may dislodge the sealing plug and spill engine oil. Also, in the worst case scenario, oil spilling on hot parts of the motorcycle can lead to fire. It may cause skidding if it comes in contact with the tires or it may cause injury to the vehicle occupant due to its hot temperature.

The company said, as a precautionary measure, from April 15, 2023, the work of replacing the affected parts will be done at BigWing dealers across the country. No fee will be charged for this irrespective of whether the vehicle warranty has expired or not. The company through its BigWing dealers will inform customers through phone calls, emails or messages from Friday to get their vehicles inspected. (with language input)
