Ranchi: Police investigation in Chaibasa has revealed that six Naxalites are working as masterminds behind the election boycott. The six Naxalites include the names of top Naxalite leaders Ajay Mahato, Upton, Chandan Lohra, Pintu Lohra, Kande Honhanga and Mochu. The local villagers have also given information about the names of these Naxalites to the police during the campaign. According to the information, on March 31, Chaibasa police had received information that Naxalites had pasted posters near Tensar and Tensar bridge of Tonto police station area.
After this, when the police reached there, they saw that it was written in the poster that all the police camps in the rural areas should be returned, otherwise no vote. It was further written that the basic problems of the people are not solved by changing the government through elections. Therefore boycott the parliamentary elections. Police repression campaign should be stopped, otherwise no vote. According to the police report, there is panic among the villagers due to this incident. It has also been announced to boycott further assembly elections.

But after this incident, the police raided the surrounding forests in search of Naxalites. Then the police did not find any Naxalite present there. After this the police started finding out about the Naxalites involved in the incident. After this, the police came to know that the said Naxalites were trying to harass the police administration and spread panic among the villagers by boycotting the elections.
