There will be no jam in Lucknow, green signal for construction of bridge on Hanuman Setu, Nishatganj, Kukrel, new road from Balu Adda

Lucknow : To make the city jam-free, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has given green signal to the construction of new bridges near Hanuman Setu, Nishatganj, Kukrel. Also, Kukrel Bandha road will be expanded. Under the Hanuman Setu project, a two-lane, 210 meter long bridge will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹27.47 crore. Similarly, a 210 meter long four-lane bridge will be built on Nishatganj Bandha Road with a budget of Rs 49.42 crore. Additionally, a 240 meter long four-lane bridge will be constructed over Kukrail drain, funded from a fund of ₹54.92 crore. Nishatganj Bandha Road will be widened. In this, Bandha Road connecting Nishatganj to Kurkail Bridge will be widened to four lanes.

Underpass in Gomti Nagar Extension

An important development is the construction of a connecting road in Sector-6 in Gomti Nagar extension, which connects the SSB underpass, Gomti River Embankment, Shaheed Path and Kanpur Road. According to LDA Vice President, this connecting road is expected to reduce the travel distance for commuters on the way to Shaheed Path by one and a half kilometres, with an estimated project cost of ₹4.91 crore.

Underground parking will be built near Ekana Stadium

An innovative solution to solve parking issues in the city involves construction of a two floor multi-level mechanical underground parking facility in Sector-7 of Gomti Nagar Extension, covering an area of ​​6898 square metres. An adjacent park will be developed, which will be equipped with an open gymnasium, benches, a toilet block and other facilities. This parking facility is estimated to accommodate 236 two-wheelers and 454 four-wheelers. It will be set up with an allocated budget of ₹61.94 crore.

A new road will be built from Balu Adda to DGP’s residence.

In an effort to reduce traffic congestion at the 1090 crossing in Gomti Nagar, the LDA has approved the construction of a 920-metre new road from Balu Adda to the residence of the Director General of Police (DGP). This new route promises to increase traffic flow, providing an alternative to existing traffic routes in the city.
