NPCI Notice to Google Pay PhonePe and PayTm: If you also use online payment methods like Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm, then this news is going to be very useful for you. Recently there has been news that problems may increase for the users using these platforms. If media reports are to be believed, the UPI ID of many users may be closed after December 31. Not only this, in this matter the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has also issued a circular to Google Pay, Paytm and PhonePe. In this circular, NPCI has instructed third party apps like Google Pay, PhonePe and PayTm to close those UPI IDs from December 31, 2023, which have not been activated for a year or more. This simply means that if you have not used any of your UPI ID for the last one year, then it will be closed after December 31.
