This time the number of booths in the state will be 1422 hypersensitive, 9265 sensitive and 20256 general booths. 216 companies of paramilitary forces will be required in each phase of elections.

CRPF, BSF, CISF etc. will be included in this. Apart from this, 68 companies of Jharkhand Police’s JAP, 34 companies of IRB, 7 companies of SIRB and 109 companies of SIRB, besides Home Guards will also be deployed.

Increase in the number of sensitive booths

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, 199 companies of paramilitary forces were deputed in Jharkhand in every phase of elections. In comparison to the year 2019, there has been a decrease in the number of highly sensitive and general booths in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Whereas the number of sensitive booths has increased. During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the number of 1861 hypersensitive, 3470 sensitive and general booths was 25994.

This time 8 districts are in the category of most Naxal affected.

In 2019, 13 districts were highly Naxal affected, whereas in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, only eight districts have been kept in the category of highly Naxal affected. These include Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, Khunti, Seraikela, West Singhbhum and Giridih districts. Let it be known that at the time of 2019 Lok Sabha elections, according to Census 2011, the population of Jharkhand was 32966238. Whereas the projected population during 2024 Lok Sabha elections is believed to be 41471111.

Helicopter will fly 63 times to transport 381 polling parties in 5 districts

To conduct voting in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, a total of 42 helipads have been made in five districts: Lohardaga, Gumla, West Singhbhum, Latehar and Hazaribagh. To take a total of 381 polling parties to the booths through these helipads, helicopters will have to fly 63 times.
