In view of the protests by farmers in Noida and Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar Police has imposed restrictions under Section 144 on 7 and 8 February. Apart from this, the police has also issued a traffic advisory. Groups of farmers in Noida and Greater Noida are protesting from December 2023, demanding more compensation and developed plots in exchange for their land acquired by the local development authorities. The protesting farmer groups have called for a Kisan Mahapanchayat on Wednesday and a march to Parliament in the national capital on Thursday to press for their demands. At the same time, the traffic department has informed the public about route diversion on various roads of Dadri, Tilapata, Surajpur, Sirsa, Rampur-Fatehpur and Greater Noida.
Farmers’ Parliament march in Delhi

According to media reports, farmers will hold a Mahapanchayat today i.e. on 7th February to increase pressure on the government and administration regarding their demands. Apart from this, farmer organizations have announced that they will leave for Delhi on February 13 in support of their demands and will protest at Jantar Mantar, preparations for which have been intensified. Bharatiya Kisan Naujawan Union held a protest in Kharkhoda, Sonipat on Tuesday. Took out a tractor march and said that if the demands of the farmers were not met by 13 February, they would leave for Delhi.
