Science, Technology and Technical Education Minister Sumit Kumar Singh said these things. He was making a surprise inspection of the work going on in the planetarium. He also instructed the engineer to work quickly. Also said that this planetarium of Patna is quite old. In such a situation, the officials should make the building strong and attractive and also complete it within the prescribed limits. He took stock of the new planetarium auditorium.

In order to take stock, the Minister inspected the open gallery, lounge, park, office etc. as well as the upper floor and outer premises. On the occasion, Director Udayan Mishra, Project Director Ananth Kumar and others gave information about the work progress. It is known that the responsibility of internal beautification and landscaping work in the planetarium complex has been given to Ranchi contractor Deepanshu Promoter and Builder Private Limited Company.

Planetarium will be equipped with additional facilities

A park is being constructed in the outer premises of the planetarium. Where children can enjoy sports. Many types of modern swings are also being installed in it. VIP lounge, modern cafeteria, space gallery etc. are being constructed inside the complex. The lounge to be built here will also have good facilities from the airport. At the same time, facade lights are being installed to make the building special and attractive. Actually, this is a special kind of light. The facade light remains focused on the place where it is placed. That means its light does not scatter here and there. This increases the beauty of the building. screen brought from America

It is said that there is a dome shaped screen here which is being newly renovated. For this, a 16 meter diameter dome shaped screen made of aluminum procured from America is being installed. This will provide a better experience to the display of the show. Employees have been trained to install aluminum sheets, so that there is no problem in installation. Shows on various aspects related to space are being shown here for the last three decades. Which is not only interesting but also very attractive from the scientific point of view.

Projection system brought from Germany

The new projection system here has been imported from Germany and will give the audience a special 3D experience. The pictures will be very clear and will give you the experience of seeing it from the front. All types of installation work are planned to start from the first week of February. Rs 36 crore will be spent on this entire renovation work. As per the plan, a total of six projection systems will be installed. The target is to complete the modernization work by the end of March 2023.

Books will also be available

Earlier only shows used to run here. This facility will be even better now. Along with this, there will also be a book stall of science books in the campus itself. It is said that children will be able to read books based on science curriculum here. For this a stall will be set up here. Apart from this, there will also be a cafeteria and other public facilities in the campus itself. He said that after the completion of the modernization work here, it will be included in the best planetarium of the country. With this, not only the city residents but the people of the entire state will get a new experience of science.
