Rohini, the main Nakshatra for preparation of nursery of paddy, the main crop of Kharif, also ended on Thursday. The month of Ashadh is also about to pass. Only 17-18 days are left. So far, only a few resourceful farmers have been able to drop paddy straw.

Most of the puddles, pines, ponds and rivers themselves yearn for water. After the end of Rohini Nakshatra, Mrigashira Nakshatra has started. This Nakshatra will also be of 13 days and after that Adra Nakshatra will start from 22nd June. According to the availability of water, most of the farmers will be able to prepare paddy nursery in Mrigashira or Adra Nakshatra only. Resourceless farmers are waiting for the monsoon. Late dropping of seedlings affects the production.
If agricultural experts are to be believed, then the time till June 10 has been considered appropriate for this. In this period, if the farmers had prepared nurseries of long-duration varieties MTU 7029, Swarna Sab 1, Rajendra Mansuri 1, Rajendra Mansuri 2, Raj Shree and aromatic varieties like Rajendra Kasturi, Rajendra Suvasini, Rajendra Bhagwati, Sabour, Surbhit and Sonachur etc. If so, good production can be expected. Delayed tillering affects the growth of the plant. There is a decrease in production. The seedlings of Prabhed Sonam, Sita, Kanak, Rajendra Shweta, BPT 5204, Sabour Ardhjal, MTU 1001 etc., which are ready in medium duration 135 to 140 days, should be dropped between 10 to 25 June. Similarly, the seedlings of short-duration varieties, semi-water, partner etc. should be dropped after 25th June to 10th July.
