The scorching heat going on in Bihar, know these methods of protection from heat stroke.

It is scorching hot in Bihar these days. The temperature in most of the districts of the state has gone above 40 degrees. Bhagalpur was the hottest district of the state on Sunday, where the mercury was recorded more than 43 degrees. The indifference of the weather will continue. There is no going to get rid of heat and heatwave. The way the hot wind is blowing, people are avoiding going out of their homes unnecessarily. At the same time, some information has been given by the Meteorological Department, so that one can save oneself in this scorching heat.

Bihar Weather Forecast

Till June 11, the weather conditions will remain fierce in Bihar. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of continuation of the condition of heat wave. There is a possibility of severe heat wave in some parts of the state. An alert was issued by IMD Patna on Sunday itself. There may be further rise in temperature. During this, strong westerly wind will blow. People have been advised to take special precautions till June 11.

Meteorological Department told the measures to prevent heat wave

Heat wave can cause physical stress, which can also result in serious illness. Avoid going out in the sun especially between 12 noon to 3 pm to reduce the effect during heat wave and avoid serious illness due to heat stroke.

Know these methods of prevention

  • Avoid doing hard-wage work when the outside temperature is high.

  • Keep your home cool, use curtains, shutters or sunshades and open windows at night.

  • Drink enough water. Drink water as often as possible.

  • Carry a water bottle with you during travel.

  • Wear light colored loose and porous cotton clothes.

  • Use protective glasses, umbrella, cap, shoes or slippers while going out in the sun.

  • Use fans, moist clothes and take frequent cold water baths.

  • Avoid alcohol, tea, coffee and carbonated soft drinks. They dehydrate the body.

  • Do not leave children in a parked vehicle.

  • Consume lassi, rice water, lemon water, buttermilk etc. which will help in hydrating the body.

  • Avoid high protein food and stale food.
