If any accident happens in Kanwar Yatra due to the negligence of the work of electricity employees, action can be taken from issuing notice to dismissal on the guilty officer-employee. In view of the Kanwar Yatra in the month of Sawan, the electrical personnel and officers have been put on alert mode in the state. In Meerut, 7 kanwars were killed when a kanwar collided with the high tension line. Many were burnt. Apart from the temples in the districts where the Kanwar Yatra is taking place, the priests of all the famous temples of the state and the district administration have been asked to keep in touch with the Electricity Officer. Help of village heads, councilors and people’s representatives is also being sought.
Corporation got clean chit in Meerut accident
State Energy and Additional Energy Sources Minister AK Sharma has taken information about the security and arrangements of the Kanwar Yatra from the Managing Directors of all the distribution corporations of the state through video conferencing at Shakti Bhawan. The minister has said that the Kanwar Yatra is coming out of the roads, by patrolling it, ensure the prescribed standard of lines and pillars. The administration had given permission of 12 feet. The entire episode was investigated by various agencies, in which no fault of the Electricity Department was found. The Managing Director told that the department is fully alert in view of the Kanwar Yatra. Full precautions are being taken. To prevent such incidents, patrolling has been increased further.
Electricity Corporation sought help from the administration
The Energy Minister has said that there is no fault of the Electricity Corporation in the Meerut accident, yet the people who lost their lives in the accident should be given Rs. By patrolling the Kanwar Yatra route, from the local junior engineer to the higher officials, make sure that there is no electrocution anywhere near the pole or transformer. Measures should also be taken to keep people away from poles and transformers. After checking the reasons for the current loss, efforts should also be made to rectify it. Kanwar passengers should also be made aware through loudspeakers and publicity material that they should not do any such work which could lead to an accident. The Energy Minister said that the Kanwar Yatra is about to begin, so the departmental employees should use loudspeakers, posters, pamphlets and contacts in the villages related to the Kanwar Yatra to inform that the height of the pillars and lines is 19 feet, so no vehicle of higher height, DJ, Do not carry Kanwar or other material. The departmental officers should also write a letter to the district administration informing them about the precautions to be taken while allowing DJs. Instructed to ensure adequate arrangement of necessary equipment for effective checking of electric current discharge around poles and transformers.
There will be no delay in funds to accident victims
The Energy Minister said that wherever necessary work related to electricity needs to be done, it should be done on priority and the works of RDSS scheme should be expedited. Warned that if any negligence is found in the security of Kanwar Yatra, strict action will be ensured. He said that even before this, warnings have been given to replace dilapidated wires and poles, fix hanging wires and bent poles immediately and immediately remove the wires touching the green tree from contact with the tree, sorting the branches. were given. Still complaints of electrical accidents are coming which is a serious matter. This system should be reformed immediately for the safety of the lives and property of the people. In the rainy season, check that current is not coming down in the transformer and its protection mesh, pole box, support cable and it should also be rectified immediately. If such a situation is being created anywhere, people should be made aware about it to stay away from such electrical appliances.
