Tata Tiago EV

Tata Tiago EV gets two battery pack options of 19.2kWh and 24kWh. Both the battery packs are mated to an electric motor that generates an output of 61PS/110Nm with the smaller battery and 75PS/114Nm with the bigger battery. It gets a range of 250 km to 315 km respectively. Its ex-showroom price starts from Rs. 8.69 lakhs.

Citroen E C3

French company Citroën’s all-electric car eC3 gets a 29.2kWh battery pack which is paired with an electric motor producing 57 PS of power and 143 Nm of torque output. It gets ARAI certified range of 320 km per charge. The eC3 can be charged in 10 hours 30 minutes with a 15A plug point charger, while a DC fast-charger can charge it from 10 to 80 percent in just 57 minutes. Its ex-showroom price starts from Rs. 11.50 lakhs.

Tata Tigor EV

The Tata Tigor EV gets a 26kWh battery pack with Ziptron EV technology. The electric motor in it generates 75 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. This electric sedan gets an ARAI certified range of 315 km. It can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 8.5 hours using a wall charger and in just 60 minutes using a 25kW DC fast charger. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 12.49 lakh.

Tata Nexon EV

Tata Nexon EV price starts at Rs. 14.99 Lakh. A 30.2 kWh battery pack is available in it. Once fully charged, it gets a range of about 312 km. Its top speed is 120 km/h. It can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 60 minutes with the help of a fast charger. The car also gets features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and a sunroof.

MG ZS EV

The MG ZS EV costs around Rs 22.5 lakh and is one of the most popular electric cars in India. It offers a range of around 419 km on a single charge and can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 50 minutes using a fast charger. Its top speed is 140 km/h and it gets a 44.5 kWh battery pack. Features like panoramic sunroof, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and electronic parking brake are available in this car.

Subsidy on purchase of electric car

Let us also tell you that subsidy is provided by the government on the purchase of electric vehicles or cars. The reason for this is that the equipment and technology used to manufacture electric cars are not easily available in India. Therefore, the cost of their construction increases considerably. Subsidy is given to electric vehicle manufacturers by the government under the Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI Scheme). Apart from this, subsidy is also provided to provide relief to the purchasing customers.
