The petition filed in the case of the then Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren missing from Delhi for 40 hours was returned, the High Court gave permission.

Ranchi, Rana Pratap: Jharkhand High Court heard the criminal writ (Havas Corpus) petition filed in the case of the then Chief Minister Hemant Soren missing from his residence for more than 40 hours after going to Delhi. During the hearing of the case, the division bench of Justice Rangan Mukhopadhyay and Justice Deepak Roshan, considering the request of the applicant, allowed the withdrawal of the petition.

Hemant Soren is in Birsa Munda Central Jail Hotwar
During the hearing of this case, the division bench of Justice Rangan Mukhopadhyay and Justice Deepak Roshan of Jharkhand High Court was told that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Hemant Soren in a money laundering case related to the land scam. Presently Hemant Soren is in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail Hotwar. In such a situation, there is no justification for hearing this petition now.

Havious corpus petition was filed in the High Court
Applicant advocate Rajeev Kumar had filed a felony corpus petition in the Jharkhand High Court demanding the recovery of the then Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Let us tell you that recently, ED had arrested CM Hemant Soren after a long interrogation in the money laundering case related to the land scam. After his arrest, ED took him on remand and interrogated him several times.
