Besides, the police has issued a notice to him to pay a fine of Rs 1.34 lakh. The name of the accused is Elumalai who is a daily wage labourer. Criminal Elumalai paid only Rs 10,000 and settled 20 cases. Police have confiscated his Suzuki Access scooter.
List of violators with more than 50 crimes scrutinized
Elumalai had accumulated violations over two years and was finally caught when police combed through a list of violators with more than 50 offences. Elumalai worked as a daily wage laborer and was not aware of the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) cameras installed near his house. For this reason, he violated traffic rules many times.

Over the last two to three years, Elumalai and his son drove in front of traffic cameras without wearing helmets on several occasions. Because of which such a huge fine has been imposed on him. Giving information about the matter, a senior police officer told the media that such cases are being reported regularly as they are collecting data about vehicles with more than 50 violations, especially after the digitalization of traffic fine payments.
