Corona: Many security arrangements are being increased across the country regarding the new variant of Corona. Separate arrangements have been made for such patients in hospitals and corona patients are being screened at many airports. But, meanwhile, the biggest question in people’s minds is how dangerous this variant is. In such a situation, the former director of AIIMS has given a big statement regarding this. He has told how much more infectious the new sub-variant of Corona, JN.1, is.

Sub variant JN.1 spreads very fast

Former AIIMS director and senior pulmonologist Dr. Randeep Guleria said on Saturday that the new sub-variant of Corona, JN.1, is going to spread very fast. But at the same time he has given one thing of relief that it is not affecting anyone much or due to this infection no one will have to be admitted to the hospital in a serious condition. However, Randeep Guleria also said that the variant is gradually becoming dominant.

Changing from sub variant to main variant!

While talking to media agency ANI, he said that this infection is spreading very fast and gradually it is changing from a sub variant to the main variant. He said that it is becoming more viral but, according to the data that has come out now, it is not causing serious infection or hospitalization. The doctor also said that this infection is spreading most through the air route. Its main symptoms are fever, cough, cold, sore throat, running nose and body ache.

JN.1 variants in India

So far, 22 cases of new Covid variants have been reported in India, which has spread concern across the country. The first case was found in a 79-year-old woman in Kerala. Of the total cases, 19 have been found in Goa, one each in Kerala and Maharashtra, while details of one case are not yet known. Meanwhile, on Saturday, India reported a total of 752 cases in 24 hours, the highest single-day increase since May 21. The number of active cases was 3,420.

Advisory issued for people

WHO has also issued an advisory for people in which it has been said that people should wear masks in crowded, closed or areas with bad air. Also, maintain a safe distance from others as far as possible. In such a situation, it can be said that this new variant of Corona is not a matter to be taken lightly. Proper precautions will have to be taken for this. However, its cases are still under control in India, but the Government of India has also started monitoring.
