Near Rajpur village of Neura OP area of Patna, four armed criminals riding a bike started robbing mobile phones and money from some people passing by. During this time a passerby started making noise. Due to which a crowd of nearby villagers gathered at the spot. Seeing the villagers, the criminals started running away on the bike, during which the villagers caught one of them and after beating him, handed him over to the police. The other three criminals ran away waving weapons. While escaping, the bike of the criminals who were running towards Bihta from the side of the railway track near Pandechak village of Bihta police station area, got stuck in the tracks kept on the side of the railway track. During this time, two people died on the spot after being hit by a train going from Bihta to Patna. While one got injured due to the shock of the train and fell on the side of the railway track.
After reaching the spot, the police recovered two bodies from the railway track. There the injured were admitted to the hospital. Also, the police have recovered two bikes, a pistol and four cartridges from the robbers.
They were looting
The deceased youths were identified as Ranveer Kumar, son of Shyam Dhari Singh, resident of Danapur Imliterar of Danapur police station area and Aman Kumar, son of Bhola Singh, resident of Ramjichak Bataganj of Digha police station area. Whereas the arrested people were identified as Rahul Kumar, 22 year old son of late Rajbalm Rai, resident of Takiyapar of Danapur police station area and Akash Kumar, 24 year old son of Dinesh Singh, resident of Bhatta Road Police Colony of Danapur police station area.
The villagers caught a criminal
It is said that late on Friday night, four youths from Danapur were looting several bike-riding people near Rajpur village at gunpoint. After the robbery incident, an alarm was raised by a victimized youth riding a bike. Hearing the noise, nearby villagers gathered and after getting aware of the robbery incident, they caught one of the four criminals who were running away on a bike. After which the police team of Dial 112 reached and started investigation on all the cases.
What did SP say?
Patna West City SP Rajesh Kumar said that before the incident, after consuming liquor at a place in Bihta, all the criminals were planning a robbery and were running away after robbing a mobile phone from a young man near Rajpur village of Neura police station area. One criminal was caught by the villagers while three criminals escaped.
SP said that after receiving information about the incident, Neura police station in-charge Archana Kumari along with the team reached the spot and arrested a criminal and admitted him to a private hospital. The injured youth told the names of three other people during interrogation. After which the police started searching for the three criminals.
A criminal had fallen on the track after getting injured.
The villagers also told that the three criminals had fled on the bike towards the railway track. After which, when Pandechak reached near the railway line, he saw that two of them had been hit by the train and were lying there. Who died on the spot itself. Another criminal has fallen injured.
