The proposed bus stand in Kanhauli, Patna will be constructed next to Patna Ring Road. Land has been identified by the district administration for the construction of a bus stand. Also, the details of the identified land have been sent to the Urban Development and Housing Department. After getting permission from the department, the process of land acquisition will start. The source said that vacant land has been marked to the west of the Ring Road for the construction of a bus stand. 50 acres of land is to be acquired in Kanhauli and Parkhoddipur Panathi of Bihta area.
Change in proposed location
Earlier it was proposed to acquire land in Kanhauli of Bihta area for the construction of bus stand. Due to the presence of more houses in the proposed area, all the structures would have to be demolished while acquiring the land. This would have created opposition. Besides, cemetery land was also coming in the alignment. For this reason, the proposed area was changed and land was searched at another place. In the new place, 13 acres of land in Kanhauli and 37 acres of land in Parkhoddipur Panathi have been marked for acquisition.
Awaiting permission from Urban Development and Housing Department
The land for the proposed new bus stand next to Sherpur-Kanhauli Ring Road has been marked and complete details have been sent to the Urban Development and Housing Department. Permission is awaited from the Urban Development and Housing Department. After this the process of land acquisition will start. The district administration has made preparations for this.
