There is good news for the fans who are waiting to watch The Kerala Story at home. According to media reports, it will be released on ZEE5. According to reports, ZEE5 has successfully acquired the OTT rights of ‘The Kerala Story’.
Some time ago there were reports that The Kerala Story will stream on Zee on January 12 or January 19, 2024. But this did not happen. Now fans will have to wait for the official release date.
‘The Kerala Story’ directed by Sudipto Sen stars Adah Sharma, Yogeeta Bihani, Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani in lead roles.
The story of the film is about Unnikrishnan who gets trapped in the ISIS terrorist organization because he is brainwashed. Let us tell you that the movie had collected Rs 250 crore in India. There was a lot of discussion about the movie after its release.
ZEE5 had acquired the rights of The Kerala Story and it was to be streamed from 23 June 2023, but this could not happen due to political reasons. Earlier it was being said that the film was not getting any OTT buyers earlier.
Director Sudipto Sen had earlier claimed that the film was struggling to find a suitable OTT partner and that the film industry had united against them.
Sudipto Sen had said, “Our success at the box office has upset many sections of the film industry. We feel that a section of the entertainment industry has come together to punish us for our success.”
Ada Sharma thanked the audience for making the film a hit. He wrote in the Instagram post, “5th week and The Kerala Story is still going strong. Thank you for still keeping us in theaters and watching it again and again. I am very grateful.”
